Resolved, That Rule of Order 2 of the House of Deputies be amended to read as follows:

2. The daily sessions of the House shall be opened with prayer, and prayer for Missions shall be had daily at ~~noon~~ midday. Any deputy may request the President to call for prayer at other times and the President may initiate such prayer as deemed appropriate.

EXPLANATION

Requiring the business of the House to stop for prayer precisely at noon often interrupts the business of the House. The amendment is intended to provide flexibility and to conform our invitation to prayer to our practice.
