EXPLANATION

The 74th and 75th General Conventions of The Episcopal Church set as a chief funding priority the support and encouragement of ministry with college students and young adults. The report of the House of Deputies Committee on the State of the Church (BB pp. 59-81) reported the continued profound under-representation of those below the age of 35 in the church. This resolution seeks to acknowledge and encourage those succeeding in the training of emerging and future leaders of the church, especially through those ministries that fall under the auspices of the Office for Young Adult and Campus Ministries and have been funded by acts of General Convention.
